LAKE FOREST, Ill. — The Bears have signed defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo to a three-year deal, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
The 25-year-old was a second-round pick by the Colts in 2021 and addresses a need the team had on the defensive line.
Rapoport said the three-year deal is worth $48 million with $32 million guaranteed.
Odeyingbo had three sacks and two forced fumbles last year down in Indianapolis and eight sacks the year prior.
The Vanderbilt product is tall at 6’6″ and graded out at the 76th best edge rusher last year out by 211 by Pro Football Focus (PFF). Analytics show he led the Colts last season in quarterback pressures with 50.
He will have to pick another number as he wore #54 in Indianapolis.
Odeyingbo will likely line up opposite of Montez Sweat after the Bears cut DeMarcus Walker.
The legal tampering period kicked off at 11 a.m. and goes through Tuesday.
