Road closures from high water across NE Ohio

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Days of rainfall across Northeast Ohio has led to flooding concerns in some communities and road closures due to high water.

According to a post on the the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page Saturday afternoon, high water has closed:

  • Funk Rd. between SR 95 & Angling
  • Clark Rd. West of 83. Kimber/Willow East of SR 226
  • Prairie Lane South of Wooster
  • Lattasburg Rd. between Silver Rd. and West Old Lincoln Way
  • Cemetery Rd. between SR 226
  • Timken Rd. and Grossjean Rd.
  • Barnard Rd. North of 250

“Our office will update as more rain moves in today. Remember never drive around barricades and turn around, don’t drown!” the post concluded.

In Streetsboro, the city’s fire department is warning drivers that State Route 303 between Stone Road and Jefferson St. is closed due to high water.

A Fox 8 viewer sent a picture of water spiling over a road in Louisville, Stark County. Another pictures shows a large area off the road covered in standing water.
