Shorthanded Milwaukee is expected to send right-hander Elvin Rodriguez to the mound on his 27th birthday. In eight career games, including five starts, he is 0-4 with a 9.55 ERA. In 33 innings, he has allowed 42 hits, 35 earned runs, 12 homers and 15 walks with 30 strikeouts. He has never faced Kansas City. Milwaukee is down several starting pitchers due to injury, including Tobias Myers and Brandon Woodruff.
