And perhaps even more impressive than winning the trophy, the team toppled the WNBA Finals runner-up Minnesota Lynx, who entered the game with a 14-2 record, and it did so without star player Caitlin Clark, who missed her third straight game with a groin injury.

Both Natasha Howard (16 points, 12 rebounds) and Aliyah Boston (12 points, 11 rebounds) recorded double-doubles, and Sophie Cunningham (13 points), Kelsey Mitchell (12 points), and Aari McDonald (12 points) scored in double figures.

The win even caught the attention of the WNBA itself, as the league celebrated Indiana’s historic milestone with a special post on social media.

While the on-court celebration was a special moment for the Fever, what many of their players will likely remember most are the behind-the-scenes celebrations had in the locker room amongst teammates.

Cunningham gave her followers a glimpse of what those celebrations looked like as she posted a photo of herself along with several of her teammates (Clark included) posing for a photo in their championship gear with the caption “yurppppppp.”

The post caught the attention of several fans, who took to the comment section to share in the Fever’s big moment.

“Hang this in the Louvre,” one fan wrote.

“Haters are seething,” another rejoiced.

“Walked the talk like a champ🔥🔥🔥🔥,” a third fan replied.

“Cry more haters,” scoffed one user.

“I never doubted you Sophie. Many people did, but you tuned out the noise and kicked Lynx [expletive]!” another user remarked.
