CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A severe storm unleashed high winds and heavy rain throughout the Tri-State area on Sunday.
The storm front moved through the Tri-State area, with initial, but unconfirmed, reports of at least one tornado touching down. The National Weather Service will be working to determine if any tornadoes actually touched down.
It has resulted in thousands without power throughout the area, according to Duke Energy.
In St. Clair Township, near Hamilton, high winds caused extensive damage to several mobile homes at the Linda Mobile Home Park.
Residents reported hearing “a loud roar” around 9 p.m. on Sunday.
The Butler County Sheriff’s Office said six homes were “lifted off their foundation” and moved.
Fortunately, authorities confirmed that nobody was injured in the incident.
The Red Cross has been called in to assist those who have been displaced.
Meanwhile, crews are working to clear trees from two roads in the area.
