Tampa Bay Buccaneers sign Shilo Sanders, Desmond Watson (‘Tush Push Terminator’) as UDFAs

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers snagged two notable names as undrafted free agents shortly after the NFL Draft wrapped in Green Bay, Wis., on Saturday. The Bucs have signed Colorado safety Shilo Sanders and Florida defensive tackle Desmond Watson, also known as the “Tush Push Terminator,” according to multiple reports.

Sanders played two seasons each at South Carolina, Jackson State (FCS) and Colorado. At the latter two stops, he played alongside his brother, Shedeur Sanders (drafted in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns) and for his father, coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.

A two-year starter at safety for Colorado, Sanders recorded 137 tackles, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, one interception (which was returned for a touchdown) and one sack. He participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl and was the 43rd-ranked safety in “The Beast.”

Shilo’s dad, Deion, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011. The eight-time All-Pro selection and 1994 Defensive Player of the Year played 14 seasons for five teams — the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders (then Redskins) and Baltimore Ravens. He was known as an electrifying playmaker as both a shutdown corner and return specialist. He was also a two-sport star, playing nine seasons of Major League Baseball.

Watson is a 6-foot-6, 464-pound former Gator who got NFL teams’ attention when he bench pressed 225 pounds 36 times at Florida’s pro day in March. It would have been a record at the NFL Scouting Combine — if Watson had been invited.

The heaviest player in Dane Brugler’s NFL Draft guide, The Beast, Watson will join seventh-round draft pick Tez Johnson in Tampa Bay. The former Oregon wide receiver comes in at 154 pounds, the lightest player listed in Brugler’s guide.

The Bucs also drafted Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka (No. 19), Notre Dame CB Benjamin Morrison (No. 53), Kansas State CB Jacob Parrish (No. 84), Central Arkansas LB David Walker (No. 121) and SMU edge Elijah Roberts (No. 157) in the 2025 draft.
