Thai fighter jet bombs Cambodia as tensions boil over

A Thai fighter jet has bombed targets in neighbouring Cambodia after tensions over a long-running border dispute boiled over.

An initial clash quickly escalated from small arms fire to heavy shelling, killing at least 12 people in Thailand.

The dispute dates back more than a century, but it flared up in May, and the humiliating leak of a phone call intended to calm tensions has only worsened relations between the two.
