A young woman from Massachusetts has found her soulmate on a popular dating reality show.
Juliana Pasquarosa, 28, of Newton was the last woman standing on Season 29 of “The Bachelor.”
Grant Ellis, 31, narrowed down his pool of 25 suitors to just two, ultimately giving his final rose and proposing to Pasquarosa.
“When you’re going through the toughest times in your life, I want you to know that you don’t have to go though it alone, that I’ll be there for you as your man, as your friend, as your partner,” Ellis said on the series finale Monday night, March 24.
Pasquarosa said, “yes, a million times,” after Ellis popped the question. She even posted a video of her engagement ring to her Instagram story the next day.
While the couple does want to get married, Pasquarosa exclusively told PEOPLE there is “no rush” to get to the altar.
“I just feel like we want to live life together for a minute,” she told the outlet. “A wedding is a big thing, and there’s so many people we have to meet. I want them all to have an opportunity to see [Ellis], see us, and just have it make sense to everybody.”
Until then, Pasquarosa said her and Ellis want to focus on “taking it all in.”
“We’re going to live it up. There’s going to be wine, there’s going to be family, and it’s going to be a celebration of life,” Ellis added of their eventual nuptials, which Pasquarosa wants to have in Italy. “When the time is right, we’re going to handle it and we’re going to talk about it, and we’re going to have a really fun wedding.”
Ellis, a New Jersey native, plans on moving to Boston to be with his fiancée as well. Pasquarosa told PEOPLE that the couple will “take a peek at some apartments and see what our vibe is like and where we want to be.”
With that, the couple is mostly looking forward to starting a regular life together.
“I think that that has been something since day one of even starting this process, and knowing what comes after if it is you,” Pasquarosa said. “I just can’t wait to live a normal life with you.”
