The Seahawks and their excessive request for DK Metcalf

Wide receiver DK Metcalf officially requested his departure from the Seattle Seahawks after six seasons with the team, and with that came the big question: what do the Seahawks want in return for Metcalf?

With the trade request on the table, the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers became the front-runners in acquiring Metcalf. The Patriots are in need of receivers and have salary cap space, while the Packers are still looking for a partner for Jordan Love.

According to various experts, the Seahawks are asking for a first-round draft pick and a third-round pick. In addition, DK is reportedly looking for a long-term contract worth $30 million a year.

The Seattle franchise could save up to $18 million in salary cap space if they manage to trade Metcalf before June 1.
