Theo Pinson, Ty Lawson said what everyone was thinking after UNC destroyed SDSU

So, anyone still think the North Carolina Tar Heels didn’t belong in the NCAA Tournament? Let’s be real here, there were countless UNC haters who probably had social media posts in their drafts ready to publish after a loss to San Diego State on Tuesday night.

Sorry, we’re not sorry that didn’t happen, as Hubert Davis and Co. were able to put together a dominant win over San Diego State. Actually, dominant doesn’t appropriately describe things, as North Carolina made history in the win.

As for all of those haters after the loss? Yup, they were silenced in the best way possible and they had to eat their words. This is something that understandably brought a smile to a ton of faces, with the long list including former UNC national champs Theo Pinson and Ty Lawson.

Who shouldn’t be in tournament?!?!?!?

UNC greats Ty Lawson and Theo Pinson clapped back at Tar Heels haters everywhere

Lawson didn’t mind throwing a little shade at everyone claiming UNC didn’t belong in the field. People continue to bash the Tar Heels, claiming that West Virginia and Indiana deserved to be in the first four group over RJ Davis, Seth Trimble and the rest of the UNC standouts.

The players inside of the locker room definitely had to have seen all of the hate they were getting. So, how did they respond? By scoring almost 100 points and posting a 95-68 victory. This one was never close, with North Carolina dominating things from start to finish. Davis led the way with his 26 points – he was sensational.

Man it’s real quiet right now!

Both Pinson and Lawson were fired up over the team sneaking into March Madness, and they were even more excited to see such a dominant performance be recorded. Both Tar Heel greats won national titles while donning a UNC jersey and their passion for the program isn’t going anywhere. You better believe they’ll keeping calling out everyone doubting this team, especially if North Carolina can post an upset over Ole Miss laster this week.
