WASHINGTON (7News) — Tens of thousands of people gathered across the United States on Saturday to rally against President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk. The epicenter of the protests was the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. The rally was permitted for 10,000 people, drawing visitors from around the world.
Participants voiced their concerns over changes affecting federal workers, education, healthcare, veterans’ services, and military leadership. Attendees at each of the 1,200 rallies held nationwide had personal reasons for participating.

“I’m out here because I love my patients,” said cancer doctor Bruce Cheson. “This government is doing everything it can to the detriment of patients. It’s important to the detriment of the FDA. It’s killing research, annihilating the National Cancer Institute, and taking away grants from researchers who are working to make better treatments.”
Elizabeth Early, who works at a charter school for adults reliant on government funding, shared her concerns:
I can tell you a million stories about our school. Budget will be affected if the house doesn’t pass the D.C. budget bill.
Organizers and participants hoped that the message from Saturday’s rallies would resonate globally and inspire change.
