Thousands of people gathered in cities across North Macedonia, demanding justice after a nightclub fire on Saturday claimed the lives of at least 59 people.

Crowds congregated in the center of Kocani, which has a population of about 25,000, as people lit candles for the victims of the tragedy. Many of the 162 people injured in the blaze, which was caused by pyrotechnics during a concert in the town, are being treated in hospitals all over Europe, according to the authorities.
