The Detroit Tigers (53-32) play the Washington Nationals (35-49) at 1:05 p.m. for the first of two games of a split doubleheader at Nationals Park.

Left-hander Tyler Holton (3-3, 4.34) will start his fifth game of the season as an opener for the Tigers.

Williams has been hammered by left-handed hitters in 2025. They have a .992 OPS against him in 195 plate appearances. Seven of his nine homers allowed this season have come against left-handed hitters.
