A technical issue forced the grounding of hundreds of United Airlines flights across the U.S. late Wednesday, snarling airports amid the busy summer travel season.

After a few hours, United UAL said the “underlying technology issue” had been resolved, but warned that residual delays would continue as “our team is working to restore our normal operations.”
