Bayern Munich are officially out of the FIFA Club World Cup, following a 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. It was the result of perhaps one of the worst Bayern performance from recent days.
To add INJURY to the INSULT, the injury gods showed up, and sent Jamal Musiala right back into the sidelines with a suspected fibular fracture. Josip Stanišić is also out most likely, with what seems to be a hamstring problem.
Addressing the injury, manager Vincent Kompany spoke after the game. According to @iMiaSanMia, Kompany was rather curt and did not speak much on the topic apart from expressing that he hopes Musiala has the best possible recovery.
“It was emotional. Of course it didn’t look good. I hope it’s not too bad, but it didn’t look good. I hope he’ll have the best possible recovery,” Kompany stated.
One can only hope the recovery is speedy. To see Musiala out again after he just spent three months in recovery from muscle problems is heartbreaking.
