Part one of Wednesday season 2 is here, but Lady Gaga has yet to make an appearance.
After the first four episodes of the show’s new installment were released on Wednesday, Aug. 6, fans were eager to see the singer, 39, in her guest starring role.
However, they quickly realized that they will have to wait a little longer to see her take on Nevermore Academy.

The Grammy Winner then emerged from a coffin marked “Here Lies the Monster Queen” and performed a medley of “Zombieboy” mixed with the Addams family theme, “Bloody Mary” and “Abracadabra.”
Jenna Ortega, who plays the titular character Wednesday, joined Gaga for part of the final song — a fitting nod to her memorable season 1 dance to the Grammy winner’s song “Bloody Mary.”
In a post on X that same day, Netflix confirmed that Gaga wouldn’t appear until the second batch of episodes. The streaming service also revealed the details of Gaga’s involvement, teasing her role as a shadowy presence that makes an already eerie hall colder.
“Welcome to Nevermore, Mother Monster,” the caption read. “Lady Gaga will guest star in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 as Rosaline Rotwood — a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.”

“That was such a surprise,” she said. “I had no idea. I think I found out maybe the night before and we didn’t know, we didn’t have time to rehearse or understand anything. It was just something that Gaga had reached out, and she just called me. So it was very exciting. [She’s] one of the greatest performers, dare I say of all time.”
“She’s such a legend and such a powerhouse,” Ortega gushed. “Just an incomparable force. So to be able to sit at a dinner table and do nothing and watch her up close — what a gift.”
When it came to hinting at what fans could expect to see from Gaga when part two drops, the actress joked that she had “nothing at all” to share.

“She seemed perfect,” he said of the pop icon. “We were excited to find her a small role in the show — which is all we can really say about that at this point.”
Tim Burton also praised Gaga, along with new cast members Steve Buscemi and Joanna Lumley, in an interview with Variety ahead of the season 2 premiere.
“She’s such an artist and so for me, working with an artist is inspirational,” he said. “But I felt that way about Joanna and Steve, who I’ve worked with before. These people come on this set, you see the whole crew kind of light up. It’s a beautiful thing to witness.”
