The matchup will be a rematch of the 2022 title game between South Carolina and UConn. The Gamecocks won that matchup, 64-49, but the Huskies have won 10 of the 15 matchups between the programs.

With a victory, South Carolina would have the third-most NCAA championships ever by a program and become the first team since UConn to repeat (2013-16). The Huskies already have the most national championships with 11, but they would love to add to their collection with their first since 2016.
