President Donald Trump delivered his first Easter message in this, his second term, but the message or ‘messages’ escalated into more than the traditional messages of presidents past.

Trump offered a message at the start of Holy Week, “Melania and I join in prayer with Christians celebrating the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—the living Son of God who conquered death, freed us from sin, and unlocked the gates of Heaven for all of humanity.”

He added, “This Holy Week, my Administration renews its promise to defend the Christian faith in our schools, military, workplaces, hospitals, and halls of government. We will never waver in safeguarding the right to religious liberty, upholding the dignity of life, and protecting God in our public square.”

On Easter Sunday morning, Trump posted his first message on his Truth Social media account, “Melania and I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter! Whether you are heading out to Church or, watching Service from home, may this day be full of Peace and Joy for all who celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. HE IS RISEN!!”

Both of these initial messages from Trump were in line with similar presidential Easter messages of the past, such as Jimmy Carter’s message about the meaning of the Holy week, or George and Laura Bush’s similar message and wishes, calling for God’s blessing on American troops stationed overseas, or the Clintons’ picture with the Easter bunny and celebratory statement or Barack Obama’s message of peace, kindness, generosity and prayers for Ukraine or even Joe Biden’s Easter message, adorned in religious theme and history.

However, the posts that followed shortly after took a turn, slamming former President Joe Biden, “radical left lunatics” and immigration.

“Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country. Happy Easter also to the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue, an attack to violent that it will never be forgotten!” Said Trump in an Instagram post.

He went on to accuse “Sleepy Joe Biden” of “purposefully” allowing “millions of criminals” into the U.S., “unvetted and unchecked, through an an Open Borders Policy that will go down in history as the single most calamitous act ever perpetrated upon America.” Adding, “He was, by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President, a man who had absolutely no idea what he was doing.”

Trump ended the post, saying to Biden and “to all the people who CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election in order to get this highly destructive Moron Elected, I wish you, with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!!”

In a similar post on his X account, Trump doubled down on his feelings about the former president and the immigration issue and said, “Sleepy Joe Biden, THE WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES, has allowed millions and millions of Criminals, many of them murderers, drug dealers, and people released from prisons and mental institutions from all around the world, to enter our Country through it’s very dangerous and ill conceived Open Border. Sorry, but it’s my job to get these killers and thugs out of here. THAT’S WHAT I GOT ELECTED TO DO. MAGA!”

Trump remained in Washington over the weekend, according to news officials, as he prepares to host the annual tradition of the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday. The event is set to take place hours after the death of Pope Francis was announced from the Vatican this morning.
