Given the current tech-driven climate of the world, AI-focussed entrepreneurs being the talk of the town is nothing out of the ordinary. However, New York-based Astronomer’s CEO Andy Byron only made it to the headlines this week for the worst possible reason.
Footage of him romantically (presumably) embracing a woman, who has now been identified as his company’s HR head, Kristin Cabot, at Coldplay’s Boston concert went viral on social media. Internet sleuths quickly figured out that – despite their perceived entanglement, which also caught Chris Martin’s eye – Cabot isn’t the tech boss‘ wife.
Then, who is? According to Newsweek, it’s Megan Kerrigan Byron. While it still remains unclear whether she was at the Coldplay concert, the now-viral clip of Andy Byron back-hugging Kristin Cabot — and then instantly shrinking to hide away from the jumbotron — says otherwise. While infidelity and affair rumours are taking flight, Megan Kerrigan appears to have made some significant moves to alter her social media presence.
An Instagram page under the handle ‘M.E. Byron’ was deleted, according to a Men’s Journal report. The outlet further underlined that the name of the tech mogul’s wide is listed as ‘Megan E. Byron’ in property records.
A Facebook page associated with the name ‘Meg Kerrigan’ (URL calls her ‘Megan K. Byron’) was also removed from the social media platform despite it reportedly being active on the morning of July 17. Before its deletion, the page featured family snaps, including those of the Byron couple and their children.
This major move away from social media comes after it was reported that netizens caught the woman chucking out ‘Byron’ from her name on SNS. However, no clear timeline has been established as to when that switch happened. On top of that, a flurry of comments targeting her husband, Andy, in light of the Coldplay kiss cam scandal, now dubbed the ‘Coldplaygate,’ poured into Megan Kerrigan’s Facebook feed.
While crucial details about her residence in Massachusetts have been held back – presumably for the sake of her privacy, Kerrigan once took charge of a government meeting for the local community. She reportedly “had concerns about the environmental implications saying there were always environmental restrictions.”
Notably, Andy and Megan Byron own a house worth over $1 million through a trust, as per public records.
