(WHTM) — Home runs are one of the most entertaining parts of Major League Baseball. As the game continues to embrace the long ball, many may wonder which team hit the most home runs in one game.
According to StatMuse, the Toronto Blue Jays have hit the most home runs by a team in a game, as they hit 10 homers against the Baltimore Orioles on September 14, 1987. The Blue Jays won 18-3, with home runs from Ernie Whitt (3), Rance Mulliniks (2), Lloyd Moseby, George Bell (2), Rob Ducey, and Fred McGriff.
StatMuse says the Philadelphia Phillies hit their most homers in a game (7) on three different occasions: June 1, 2021, July 26, 2018, and September 8, 1998. The Pittsburgh Pirates also hit seven home runs in a game four different times: July 5, 2024, May 26, 2023, August 20, 2003, and August 16, 1947.
The New York Yankees amassed eight home runs in just four innings on March 29, 2025, against the Milwaukee Brewers, which tied their franchise record set on July 31, 2007, and on June 28, 1939. Outfielder Aaron Judge hit three of those homers, along with Paul Goldschmidt, Cody Bellinger, Jazz Chisholm, Jr., Anthony Volpe, and Austin Wells.
