The Green Bay Packers made a splash on Day 1 of the 2025 NFL draft, using the 23rd overall pick on a wide receiver — Matthew Golden out of Texas. Brian Gutekunst might have checked off receiver from his list of needs, but the Packers will likely be looking to add at defensive end, defensive tackle, cornerback and maybe even offensive line on Friday night.
The Packers hold picks No. 54 in the second round and No. 87 in the third round.
Here’s who the Packers are getting in various Day 2 mock drafts ahead of Friday night’s action:

2.54: CB Azareye’h Thomas, Florida State

3.87: DE Ashton Gillotte, Louisville
Matt Miller, ESPN
2.54: DE Jordan Burch, Oregon
“The Packers were rumored to be doing work on Round 1 edge rushers before bucking trends and selecting a wide receiver at No. 23. Burch has the high-end physical traits Green Bay generally goes for along the defensive line.”
Nick Baumgardner, The Athletic
2.54: CB Azareye’h Thomas, Florida State
“The Packers (finally) took a wide receiver in Round 1 — Texas burner Matthew Golden. Corner is a need here, and Thomas, one of the longest and most disruptive man-coverage players in the class, would be very good value.”
3.87: DL T.J. Sanders, South Carolina
Pro Football Focus
2.54: CB Darien Porter, Iowa State
“Porter is a rare prospect. He is a wide receiver-turned-cornerback with ideal ball skills, ranks above the 95th percentile in height and length and has an elite track background that translates to the field. He is still raw as just a one-year starter despite being a sixth-year player, but his special teams impact and sky-high potential are worth drafting in the middle rounds.”
3.87: DE Jordan Burch, Oregon
“Burch is a high-potential player with athletic and physical gifts you can’t teach. After finding his sweet spot of size and body composition, he can play in both odd and even fronts but projects best as a 4-3 defensive end. If he continues to master more pass-rush moves and hand usage, he can be a starter and a contributing player.”

2.54: DL Alfred Collins, Texas
3.87: DE Oluwafemi Oladejo, UCLA\
Aryton Ostly, USA Today
2.54: CB Darien Porter, Iowa State
“Green Bay could use future starters at cornerback with Jaire Alexander’s future in doubt. Porter is one of the tallest cornerbacks in the entire class with impressive speed (4.30-second 40-yard dash) and no injury concerns.”
3.87: OL Marcus Mbow, Purdue
