  • As March Madness bracket predictions continue to be updated, here are the latest predictions and picks for who makes the NCAA field.

It’s that time of year.

March Madness continues this evening with Selection Sunday, when the brackets for the NCAA Men’s basketball tournament will be revealed.

While the brackets will be set in stone, predictions and projections on who will help make up the field of 68 teams are already being decided.

Several teams have qualified for the tournament after earning an automatic bid in winning their conference tournament championship.

Here’s what experts are projecting for the 2025 bracket:

Projected top seeds

USA Today Staff: (as of Friday) Duke (East), Houston (Midwest), Florida (West), Auburn (South)

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi (as of Friday afternoon): “Auburn starts things off with a chance to cement its No. 1 overall seed (if not already secured).” He has Auburn (South), Florida (West), Duke (East) and Houston (Midwest) as No. 1 seeds.

NCAA’s Andy Katz (as of Friday afternoon): Auburn is Katz’s SEC champion and No. 1 overall seed (South) for the tournament. Duke (East), Houston (Midwest) and Tennessee (West) round out the the other No. 1 seeds in the bracket.

CBS’ Jerry Palm (as of Friday afternoon): Palm has Duke (East), Houston (Midwest), Auburn (South) and Florida (West) as his top four seeds in the tournament.

Projected last teams in

USA Today Staff: (as of Friday) San Diego State, Texas, North Carolina, Boise State.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi (as of Friday afternoon): Texas was tabbed as Lunardi’s last one in. He also had Xavier, North Carolina and San Diego State earning a way in.

NCAA’s Andy Katz (as of Friday afternoon): Southern (SWAC), Quinnipiac (MAAC), Southeast Missouri State (OVC) and Bucknell (Patriot) as the final four teams in his rankings with all of them receiving automatic bids.

CBS’ Jerry Palm (as of Friday afternoon): Indiana, Boise State, San Diego State and Xavier are listed as Palm’s last four in.

ESPN’s Joe Lunardi (as of Friday afternoon): Boise State, Indiana, Colorado State and Dayton were listed as the first four teams out.

NCAA’s Andy Katz (as of March 4): Katz had Oklahoma, Xavier, Boise State and SMU on his list.

CBS’ Jerry Palm (as of Friday afternoon): North Carolina, Dayton, Colorado State and Texas are listed as the first four out.
