The Italian draws a couple of errors from Djokovic, slamming down a fine body serve.

Cobolli makes an excellent return but Djokovic hangs in the point and somehow wins it as the Italian’s dig at a drop shot lands on his side of the net.

A booming serve is exactly what he’s after… and Djokovic punts a forehand wide to get Cobolli on the board.

Djokovic has Cobolli sprinting all over the court, the Italian retrieving the ball so many times but ultimately undone by a drop shot that he can’t quite get to.

Three set points for the Serb… one goes begging as Djokovic knocks a return into the net.

But an ace out wide seals the set, and Cobolli has a fight on his hands now.

A double fault lets Djokovic in and now Cobolli takes a strike out wide, aiming to send it down the lin but hitting wide – and a real wayward forehand gifts a very tame break. The Italian flings his arm up in frustration; that was a very poor game, and you can’t afford to do that against Djokovic.
