Now that the 68 teams in the women’s NCAA Tournament have been revealed and the bracket debate has died down (mostly), it’s time to focus on the matchups.
We’re just days away from the first tip of March Madness, and once it starts, the games will come fast and furious. Action begins Wednesday and Thursday with the First Four before the tournament kicks into high gear on Friday. Two No. 1 seeds, UCLA and South Carolina, will take the floor on Friday, while the other two, Texas and USC, begin play on Saturday.
Contests will be spread across the country with the top four seeds in each of the four regions hosting first- and second-round games before the remaining teams assemble one week later in Birmingham, Alabama, and Spokane, Washington, for the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. Before you know it, the Final Four will be here, with both semifinals and the national championship game in Tampa, Florida.
