WWE will host Night One of WrestleMania 41 this Saturday inside Allegiant Stadium, where all eyes are on one of the biggest triple threat matches in pro wrestling history.
CM Punk will get his first-ever WrestleMania main event when he takes on both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in the show’s headliner. But the card is stacked from top to bottom. Below is the full match lineup of WWE WrestleMania Saturday:
- Jade Cargill vs. Naomi
- Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano
- The War Raiders vs. The New Day for the World Tag Team Championship
- LA Knight vs. Jacob Fatu for the WWE United States Championship
- Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women’s Championship
- Gunther vs. Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship
- CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns
More than 50,000 fans are expected to be in attendance for each night of the two-night extravaganza, which should follow in the footsteps of WrestleMania 40 and shatter numerous WWE records. While the match quality in Las Vegas should be very high, the lackluster buildup en route to the pay-per-view has set expectations for WrestleMania 41 much lower than they have been in previous years.
In order for WWE to deliver a strong pay-per-view in line with the wildly successful previous two WrestleManias, WWE must make these smart booking moves on WrestleMania 41 Saturday.
Forbes5 Ways WWE Is Dropping The Ball With WrestleMania 41By Blake OestriecherJacob Fatu Wins First Singles Championship In WWE
Jacob Fatu has been a human highlight reel on SmackDown since joining WWE less than a year ago, and at WrestleMania 41, he has a chance to win his first-ever singles title.
If he doesn’t? Well, that would be one of the biggest shockers of WrestleMania weekend.
Although LA Knight remains as popular as ever, he also has become a lower priority than Fatu, WWE’s fastest-rising star who consistently generates massive babyface reactions despite technically being a heel. The gradual rise of Fatu as a singles star has made him one of WWE’s freshest acts and a potential future main eventer and world champion.
In fact, Fatu appears to be on a similar career trajectory to Gunther, who had a historic Intercontinental title reign before becoming World Heavyweight Champion. Fatu should follow suit with a United States title win over Knight at WrestleMania 41 that serves as a stepping stone to bigger and better things in the future.
Naomi Defeats Jade Cargill Cheaply
Naomi vs. Jade Cargill will be just the third-ever women’s non-title singles match at WrestleMania and the first in nearly 20 years.
It also happens to be the best-booked women’s feud of WrestleMania 41 season and perhaps the most heated and personal feud overall. In many cases, that would suggest that Cargill, the babyface in the rivalry, will get her big WrestleMania moment by defeating her friend-turned-foe Naomi inside Allegiant Stadium.
Only, this rivalry could and should be an extended one that lasts well beyond WrestleMania 41. Simply put, the personal issues between Naomi and Cargill are too deep to end after one match with the babyface getting the big win right out of the gate. Because this feud really just started in epic fashion at Elimination Chamber and should last well into the summer, Naomi needs to win at WrestleMania 41.
After all, Naomi is doing stellar heel work after her recent turn, and a loss to Cargill would destroy her moment before it really gets going.
CM Punk Topples Seth Rollins And Roman Reigns
CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins will battle in one of the most anticipated triple threat matches in WrestleMania history, and there is a case to be made for all three stars to win the bout.
Reigns has suffered a couple of big losses over the past year while Rollins is always featured but not pushed on quite the same level as “The OTC.” Punk hasn’t taken a clean loss since returning to WWE in late 2023, so he’s also been protected. But of the three marquee stars, Punk has had the longest absence from the title picture and is currently the most intriguing character of the three..
What’s more, Punk recently teased a reignited feud with potential future world champion John Cena, making him a strong candidate to enter the world title scene post-WrestleMania. Given Punk’s continued popularity and his decade-plus long wait to win another WWE world title, he’s most in need of a big WrestleMania win.
Really, a Reigns or Rollins win wouldn’t be the end of the world, but Punk winning makes the most sense as a means to set him for a successful main event run in the summer months. With Paul Heyman in his corner, Punk should have the advantage, too.
Tiffany Stratton Retains WWE Women’s Title Over Charlotte Flair
The feud between Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair has been one of the most disappointing storylines heading en route to WrestleMania 41.
The promos have been lacking, pun intended, any type of flare while their physical segments have struggled to connect with the crowd as well. As the veteran of this rivalry, Flair should be elevating Stratton to the greatest heights of her career. Instead, Stratton has noticeably regressed as WWE Women’s Champion after a very entertaining run as Ms. Money in the Bank.
The lack of any type of creative spark has once again demonstrated why Flair’s presence in the world title picture, whenever she’s healthy, is often detrimental to the quality of WWE programming. Simply put, Flair has had next to zero character development throughout her career, with most of her major rivalries involving a title. Even both stars going off-script in a super awkward segment couldn’t save this rivalry from being a total train wreck.
Flair, as her character often does, is bringing the title picture down with her, and she shouldn’t do the same for Stratton any longer. Given that this is Stratton’s biggest match of her career, a loss would do more harm than good, especially given the way this feud has underwhelmed.
Jey Uso Wins The WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Despite some recent backlash against Jey Uso’s push, he’s perhaps WWE’s most popular star, as evidenced by his consistently stellar merchandise sales.
After Uso shockingly won the Royal Rumble last month, it became clear that the only possible outcome of his reignited feud with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is a decisive victory at WrestleMania 41. It would, of course, be similar to WrestleMania 40 when Sami Zayn ended Gunther’s historic Intercontinental Championship reign.
The difference is that while Gunther’s IC title run was incredible, his World Heavyweight Championship reign hasn’t lived up to expectations. It’s undoubtedly time for Gunther to drop the title and WWE to move forward with different directions for both Gunther and Uso.
For virtually the first time in his WWE career, Gunther can be title-less while WWE can flip the script with Uso and make the hunted rather than the hunter after an epic rise to the top.
