Yankees star trolls Dave Portnoy after torpedo bats rant

The 15 home runs the Yankees tallied across their first three games drew attention around the sport with a focus on their bats that sport a torpedo-shaped barrel.

But the new-look bats have also sparked some outrage — particularly from Bartstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy, who posted a viral rant about the bats on Sunday.

That video got the attention of Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr.

“This is a high school baller talking,” Chisholm wrote in response with a laughing emoji.

Portnoy, a Red Sox fan, went off about the bat being used by Chisholm, Anthony Volpe, Paul Goldschmidt and others.

“Yankees have a long history of cheating…and this is just the latest,” Portnoy said. “It’s stupid for the game. If you get sawed off and hit the ball on the label, that means you stink.

“I should be in the big leagues with this thing.”
