Alright, I’m now joined by Steve Worthy, the Zurich Classic tournament director coming off of probably your most successful year. Just talk about the year y’all had the accomplishments both in popularity and just the, the results too. It was incredible, uh, you know, record year in terms of attendance. Our Saturday crowd was the biggest we’ve ever had, and we gave away 3.3 million to children’s charities, which that was *** record, uh, you know, the weather was great, um, you know, having Shane and Rory win. Incredible year and looking forward to another one this year. You mentioned Shane and Rory. They’re returning. How big is it to have them back here? Just two big names, but also the amount of attention they drew to this tournament in *** positive light, how much fun they had together, showing what you can do in *** team tournament. Yeah, I mean that’s great. I mean they said on the 18th green last year they were coming back, but you never know until they actually sign up and they, they have, they have committed they’ll be here. Um, you know, I, I mean, Rory’s #2 in the world and just hugely popular. Shane is such *** fun guy, up to number 12 in the world. They both played really well this year, so they’re both in great form coming into the tournament and, uh, look forward to having him back. We saw them and the Zurich featured so much on the Netflix show Full swing. How big is that to get national attention? You mentioned the TV ratings going up by 30% last year. Just the popularity as more eyes get on this tournament, how big is it to have them back to continue to grow the amount of attention that this tournament gets? Sure, I mean we’re always excited to get some attention in the offseason and the Netflix show full swing. Uh, you know, just talking about the background of how they came together to come here, uh, how much fun they had during the week, uh, you know, clips of whether it was shots or singing on the 19th hole stage, uh, you know, it’s, it, it not only for people who are potential buyers, for other players who see how much fun they can have in *** team format, you know, so many of those guys have been here, but it’s always nice to remind them. You mentioned that team format. It’s very fitting. One of the most unique cities in the world would have one of the, if not the most unique PGA event. What makes this tournament so different from the others? Well, I mean, I think the guys, you know, it’s they enjoy doing something different, you know, when, when you’re playing by yourself, you know, you’ve got your caddie with you, but to have *** partner who you can high five and fist bump and rely on for to help you out when you’re not in the best spot and that sort of thing. Uh, yeah, it’s just, it breaks up the year. It gives them the ability to do something different. I mean, we’ve had brothers, we’ve had father sons, uh, college roommates, I mean, you name it. So, um, you know, to come out with *** buddy and in *** city like New Orleans where you know you’re gonna be able to come out and have fun. Um, you know, it just, it, it’s, it’s breaks up the year and allows them to do something different. Maybe not *** golf topic, but just talk about the changes in parking. I know there are so many people who are so accustomed to doing the same thing year after year. What’s that change look like and how do you think it will benefit maybe some traffic, some safety, and all of that that goes along with how big this tournament has gotten? Yeah, I mean, we’ve essentially just outgrown where we’ve been. I mean we’ve had *** great system in place for 20 years here at TPC Louisiana. But we’ve outgrown the Hilario Center and we’ve outgrown our parking on La Palco, so we’ll move *** portion of the Lapalco parking and all of the Hilario parking to the NOLA Motorsports facility, um, you know, they’ve got tons of asphalt. It takes any threat of rain out. You know you’re gonna be in hard surface, it’s, we’re creating *** new back gate at the NOLA Motorsports gate coming off of #3. Um, you know, the bus, the bus ride is even shorter than it was from the Hilario Center, so you know it’s just gonna be *** quick turnaround. Uh, you get to walk through the golf course on the way in, and if you’re going to number 17, you’re actually much closer to those venues than you would be if you were coming out from, uh, our old entrance. So we’re excited about it. We’ve got *** good plan in place, um, you know, we’ve got some education so everybody understands the new plan, but I feel very confident it’s gonna be *** big hit. All right, Steve Worthy, thank you very much for your time. We’ll be back here in less than *** month for this year’s rendition of the Zurich Classic.
